Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA)

With a career in apartment leasing, maintenance and management, you’ll find it much easier to find a job in a new location because skilled leasing consultants, maintenance technicians and apartment managers are always in demand.
What is MyCAA?
The Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) Program is a career development and employment assistance program sponsored by the Department of Defense (DoD). MyCAA helps military spouses pursue a license, certificate, certification or Associate’s Degree necessary for gainful employment in a high demand, high growth portable career field and occupation.
The MyCAA program provides up to $4,000 in financial assistance with up to $2,000 a year to eligible military spouses for education and training. Approved National Apartment Association Education Institute (NAAEI) designation programs are:*:
• Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT)
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM)
• National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP)
• Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS)
• Certified Apartment Supplier (CAS)
• Independent Rental Owner Professional (IROP)
• Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM)
