Designation Enrollment Form

Procedure for completing enrollment form


NAAEI requires a Designation Candidate Enrollment Form for every student entering the designation course program. Completing this form is the first critical step in the process. You must use your NAA User ID number and password throughout the designation process including taking exams.

Please note that your local Affiliate will be sent confirmation of your enrollment automatically. Do not fill out the enrollment form until you have registered for classes with your local apartment association.


Step One - Identify your NAA User ID and password. 

  • If you aleady receive units Magazine or have interacted with NAA in any way in the past our system has already assigned you a unique user ID and password, which is all you need in order to proceed.  Your NAA User ID can be found on the label of your units Magazine (see a sample here). If you have never logged in to NAA's Web site before, your password is set as the first initial of your first name, the first initial of your last name, and the first 5 digits of your mailing address ZIP code. If you have logged into NAA's Web site in the past, you may have to reset your password and you will use your new password to access the site.
  • If you do not know your NAA User ID or Password, click Retrieve Password, and the system will provide you with an alternative way to have the information sent to the e-mail address you have on file with NAA.
  • If you are new to the apartment industry and have never had any interaction with NAA previously, create a new User ID, For those of you who aleady receive units Magazine or have had previous interaction with NAA, please note that creating a duplicate User ID may lead to delays or complications processing your designation enrollment and exams.


Step Two - Log into the NAA Web site and complete the Designation Enrollment Form.  If you are not yet logged into the NAA Web site, following the link below will take you to a login page.  After a successful login, you will then be directed to the Student Designation Enrollment Form.  Once you enter the information requested into the form and click submit, it will be electronically transmitted to the NAA database.  The form will display a confirmation page listing your NAA User ID, password and verification of enrollment in a designation course.  We encourage you to print the confirmation page for your record keeping.
