God bless the 1980s.
I was fortunate enough to be born in 1986, smack dab in the middle of all the big shoulder pads, bad perms and enough Top Gun gems to carry us into the aughts.
It was a simpler time, really. You turned on the TV and everybody knew your name, The Huxtables reigned supreme and an old broad on a typewriter was solving mysteries. Oh, to be 1986 again.

For the past year my 14-year-old cousins have been doing this thing on Facebook where they write on a friend’s wall ‘The truth is…’ and then complete the sentence. The truth is…I think you’re really cute. The truth is…you’re good at the clarinet. The truth is…you’re the second hottest person in class (this was legitimately said). You get the picture.
Except that I didn’t. And still don’t, really...
