It’s nearly impossible to kill a cactus. They’re like the chill, Southern California dude of the plant world. It’s hard to get them riled up.
And yet the cactus in my office was clinging to life but a few weeks ago, deprived of water for so long that pieces of it began giving up and just breaking off.
This does not bode well for my future children, not to mention my wallet.

Specifically about how the two main teams, the office and maintenance teams, on our properties function together. In sixth grade, my Catholic mother decided to spice up the Christmas season with an Advent wreath. For those of you who are unfamiliar, it’s a tradition that symbolizes the passage of the four weeks of Advent leading up to Christmas, with an additional candle lit each Sunday of the season.
