Welcome to the Columbus Apartment Association
A letter from the President:
Dear CAA Members,
I am thrilled to serve as your CAA President for 2010, which marks our 25th Anniversary! The officers, Board of Directors and I are ready to celebrate with you as we have planned one of our best years yet! Check out the calendar in your newsletter for important events! We were so glad to have Russ Webb, the Vice President of the Atlanta and Georgia Apartment Associations with us to induct our officers and Board of Directors. He is always a great source of entertainment as well! Russ also presented our own Kevin Smith, 2009 GAA President, with a plaque in appreciation of his service.
We are also glad to bring you several training opportunities this year, but always have room for more suggestions! If you know a trainer (and yes, we need inexpensive trainers), please let us know! We’d love to bring even more learning opportunities your way.
In our first Board Meeting for 2010, we nominated committee chairpersons to carry out the events, training and services of CAA. We need you to serve on committees! This is a great way to meet new people, serve CAA, get your voice heard, and get the most out of your membership!
Consider this… when you need something done, who do you call? Do you pick someone out of the phone book? Maybe. Internet? Maybe. But if you had the choice, wouldn’t you rather call someone that you know? How about being able to choose from a list that you know has a good reputation? Even better. THAT is what CAA can do for you. It is an opportunity for you to meet people and get to know them by serving with them! If you choose to just join CAA and not get involved, I am sure that you will gain some benefit from it. But think of how much more you could get from those membership dues by getting the opportunity to really get to know some folks. How about it? If this peaks your interest, (I hope so!), check out the list of our committee chairpersons and contact them to see how you can help. It doesn’t take a huge commitment, just a small bit of your time. The more you invest, the more return you will receive!
As we enter into 2010, I am excited to serve with you so that CAA can grow and continue to be one of the best associations in Georgia and make our mark on the national scene as well!
With warm regards,
Jennifer
