ARLINGTON, VA, Dec. 2, 2008 – The National Apartment Association (NAA) has announced that Neil Howe, best-selling author and national speaker, will be the keynote speaker at the 2009 NAA Student Housing Conference & Exposition, scheduled Feb. 2-4, 2009, in Las Vegas.
“NAA is pleased to have secured Neil Howe as the keynote for our 2009 NAA Student Housing Conference & Exposition,” said NAA President Doug Culkin, CAE. “Neil is a renowned resource in generational studies on a national level and his presentation will provide our attendees with insightful and valuable information pertinent to this niche in the multifamily housing industry.”
Howe will deliver a keynote address Feb. 4, during which he will provide insight on what motivates today’s students as consumers and workers. Howe's broadly cyclical perspective-oriented presentation around familiar generational life stories will put "the long term" into a stunning yet personal focus.
Neil Howe is the co-author of “Millennials Go to College,” which features new data on the Millennial generation, confirming how its members are changing higher education and addressing issues ranging from the rise of ratings-driven admissions to the rising burden of student loans, to greater challenges facing career counselors, to the new transition from Boomer “helicopter” parents to Gen-X “stealth fighter” parents.
NAA’s Student Housing Conference & Exposition is geared toward operational and management professionals. In 2008, more than 500 people attended this conference, with attendance expected to exceed that number in 2009.
