 ApartmentCareerHQ.org Launches, Reaches 17,000 Hits

Site Targets Highschool and College Students, Prospective Jobseekers

NAA Education Institute

Washington, DC, July 22, 2008 - The National Apartment Association Education Institute (NAAEI) is pleased to announce the launch of ApartmentCareerHQ.org, an online education resource focusing on careers in the apartment industry. To date, the site has more than 17,000 hits.

The site is designed for anyone interested in entering the apartment industry, however it was specifically designed for high school and college-aged people, with the goal of providing a central location for career exploration, encouraging visitors to actively seek a career in the apartment industry.

“ApartmentCareerHQ.org is our response to the growing need to reach out to high school and college-aged people and inform them about careers in the apartment industry. Equally as important, we want to attract people in other service industries such as retail and hospitality and show them the career opportunities and benefits that the apartment industry offers them,” NAAEI Apartment Career Committee Chair Anthony V. Pusateri, CAPS, CPM, said.

The site provides details about each “career track”, maintenance, leasing and management and job search tips. In addition, ApartmentCareerHQ.org provides a free, searchable career database and the opportunity to upload resumes, hosted by ApartmentCareers.com ®. Visitors can also download the career brochures, watch videos about each career path and read stories about real-life success stories from people in the industry.

For those students who are college-bound or the college student searching for a major course of study, the site has a page dedicated to colleges and universities that offer Residential Property Management majors, minors and graduate degrees along with courses and certificate programs.

NAAEI President Alex Jackiw, CAPS, CPM, said, “The new ApartmentCareerHQ.org Web site is a terrific tool and resource for our industry because it serves so many needs. It educates the public about career opportunities in property management and highlights the many opportunities we provide our employees to advance in their careers.”
