 Sales Coordinator, National Sales 

The Sales Coordinator tracks and collects all advertising information monthly, including contracts, ad materials and invoices. This position also collects new National Suppliers Council (NSC) company membership applications for the executive committee to vote on and to coordinate all the new member benefits for these companies. This position answers supplier questions on the department’s three trade shows and sponsorship opportunities. The sales coordinator will report to the Sales Manager.

Principal Accountabilities:

Advertising

  • Prepares and distributes units Magazine media kits
  • Promotes and sells classified advertisements
  • Prepares and tracks Insertion Orders and artwork for all publications as specified on ad manifests provided by Director of National Sales
  • Checks in new artwork as it comes in and provides list of new art to Director of National Sales
  • Tracks ad sales and payments in iMIS and generates sales reports
  • Create and mail advertising sales invoices

National Suppliers Council (NSC)

  • Prepares new NSC candidates’ list to be voted on
  • Tracks and collects NSC company descriptions for NSC Directory and biographies
  • Enters NSC company descriptions in computer for use in NSC Buyers Guide as well as in iMIS database
  • Tracks and helps coordinate new NSC member profiles in units Magazine

Trade Show & Sponsorship

  • Answers supplier questions regarding the NAA Education Conference & Exposition, NAA Student Housing Conference and the NAA Green Conference
  • Learns the exhibitor files: contracts, copies of payments, and forms
  • Tracks exhibitor payments, enters them in iMIS database and generates reports
  • Assists in the administration of Sponsorship programs

Other

  • Other duties as assigned

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; outgoing; excellent customer service skills, written and oral communication skills; ability with numbers; and proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Preferred:

  • One year of business experience; and experience with iMIS.
