“Congressmen only know what they hear from others. Advocating for the industry is just as important as reviewing a community’s monthly operating statement.” --Frank Barefield, 2012 AIMS Grassroots Member Advocate of the Year
NAA Government Affairs will recognize the U.S. apartment industry’s top grassroots advocate this fall. All NAA industry members are eligible to win this major award, which recognizes an individual’s outstanding voluntary contributions to industry advocacy at the state and national levels.
Whether by meeting with your elected officials, sending a letter or making a phone call to your members of Congress, grassroots advocacy is vital to NAA’s political efforts.
