Take Advantage of Congressional Recesses to Tell Congress About the Apartment Industry’s Issues

Every day members of Congress make decisions that impact the apartment industry. The Congressional Recess Program is your opportunity to educate your members of Congress in their home districts about how legislation affects you and the industry.

Without needing to travel to Washington, D.C., you can introduce yourself (or reinforce your relationship), share your expertise on apartment industry issues, talk about local market conditions and remind your elected officials that:

  • apartments are an integral part of every American community in every state, and
  • apartment owners, managers, developers and suppliers work, live and vote in your Representative or Senator's district or state.

Congressional Recess Toolkit

The Congressional Recess Toolkit makes it easy to schedule meetings and speak confidently with your members of Congress about key issues.

It is vital to our federal advocacy efforts that the apartment industry's perspective is heard and understood as Congress debates many critical policy issues that could significantly impact multifamily rental housing.
