Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) is just 10 miles from the Omni Shoreham. Dulles International Airport (IAD) is 30 miles from the hotel and Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) is located 40 miles from Washington, D.C.

Ground Transportation

Metro

The Omni Shoreham is DC metro accessible, located on the red line.

Reagan National Airport (DCA) is located on the yellow and blue lines. Simply take the yellow line in the direction of Georgia Ave. Transfer to the red line at the Gallery Place/Chinatown metro station.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING METRO RAIL TRAVEL DURING THE CAPITOL CONFERENCE

Metro will be closing some metro stations down or running on a single track during the weekend of the Capitol Conference to rebuild the rail system. This may affect some travelers to the meeting location. Please see below which Metro lines may affect you or other travelers.

Metro track work for weekend of March 9-11, 2012

Metro will continue efforts to rebuild the rail system over the weekend of March 9-11. The work will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and continue through system closing on Sunday.

Red Line

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday and continuing through system closing on Sunday, free shuttle buses will replace Red Line trains between Dupont Circle and Van Ness to allow for rail, fastener and insulator renewal, leak repairs, drain cleaning and fiber optic cable installation.
Two stations – Woodley Park and Cleveland Park – will be closed.
Throughout the weekend, Red Line trains will operate in two sections: between Shady Grove and Van Ness and between Dupont Circle and Glenmont. Trains will operate every 10 minutes during daytime hours and at regular weekend intervals at other times.
Customers using shuttle bus service should allow 20 minutes of additional travel time.
Last train times will be posted here later this week.

Orange Line

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday and continuing through system closing on Sunday, Orange Line trains will single track between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory to allow for rail fastener renewal, tile replacement and station rehabilitation work, and between East Falls Church and West Falls Church for testing associated with the Dulles rail project.
Throughout the weekend, Orange Line trains will depart Vienna and New Carrollton every 24 minutes.
Customers should allow 15-20 minutes of additional travel time.

Blue Line

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday and continuing through system closing on Sunday, Blue Line trains will single track between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory to allow for rail fastener renewal, tile replacement and station rehabilitation work, and between Reagan National Airport and Braddock Road for tie and insulator renewal.
Throughout the weekend, Blue Line trains will depart Franconia-Springfield and Largo Town Center every 24 minutes.
Customers should allow 15-20 minutes of additional travel time.

Yellow Line

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday and continuing through system closing on Sunday, Yellow Line trains will single track between Reagan National Airport and Braddock Road for tie and insulator renewal.
Throughout the weekend, Yellow Line trains will operate every 24 minutes between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square. Customers traveling to/from stations north of Mt. Vernon Square should use Green Line trains to complete their trip.
Customers should allow 15-20 minutes of additional travel time.

Green Line

No scheduled work.
